William (Bill) Oldham, M.Div., LPC

William D. (Bill) Oldham is the executive director of Northwest Counseling, Inc. He has lived in Northwest Arkansas since 2001 when he assumed a counseling practice in Springdale, Arkansas.  Counseling has been his focus for nearly 20 years.  He holds a Master of Divinity degree from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois.  He has pastoral experience in Pennsylvania where he became acquainted with the counseling profession and added counseling psychology education and worked for 10 years as a counselor before coming to Northwest Arkansas.

Bill has many hours of experience with a wide variety of client populations, counseling issues and age groups.  He now focuses mainly on marriage counseling and adult counseling issues in his private practice. His background in ministry provides a base to help clients integrate their personal faith into their practical lives.  He helps people with problem solving, relationships, and finding health, happiness and security they desire.

He has been married to Pam, a physical therapist, for 25 years and has three children.

Jenny Levart, M.A., LPC

Jenny Levart is a Licensed Associate Counselor with years of experience working with children, teenagers, and adults struggling with a wide range of issues.  A native of Indiana, Jenny moved to Arkansas in 2008.  

She has a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling and Sociology and earned a Master of Arts in Counseling from Grace College and Theological Seminary in Winona Lake, Indiana. 

She served as a youth leader in her church in Indiana for eight years, has worked in homes, schools, hospitals and in community mental health settings.  Her heart for helping people is evident and clients immediately warm to her sense of humor and obvious enjoyment of life.

Jenny enjoys reading, playing games, softball and spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Robyn Thurman is a licensed professional counselor.  She has Bachelor of Arts degrees in both Psychology and Sociology from Clemson University. She earned her Master of Arts degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, MS.

Robyn has many years of experience in the mental health field.  She has served as an in-home therapist, a school based therapist and as the supervisor of an outpatient child and adolescent unit of a community mental health center.  In addition to these roles in public mental health, she has also worked in private practice and taught at the master’s level at Columbia International University.  Robyn’s area of interest is primarily on young children and their families.  She utilizes therapeutic play activities to engage children as young as two and also integrates their families in therapeutic play. She is able to work with abuse / neglect, trauma, anxiety, depression and behavior issues as well as many others.

Prior to moving to the Northwest Arkansas area six years ago, Robyn lived in South Carolina for the majority of her life.  She has been married to her husband, Scot, for eight years and they have two children. In addition to her role as a counselor at NCI, she and her husband own and operate a lodging facility in Eureka Springs.  She enjoys cooking, traveling and spending time with her family.

Deborah (Debbie) Pinkston, Ph.D.
Deborah (Debbie) Pinkston Ph.D. is new to our staff and promises to be an invaluable asset as a counseling resource in Northwest Arkansas.  She has more than 10 years as a counseling professional.  She has a special interest in counseling teens and their parents, as well as counseling survivors of childhood sexual abuse.  She is currently writing a book on the subject of recovery from sexual abuse which will be available in Spanish and English.  She is fluent in Spanish and wants to serve the counseling needs of Latino families in Northwest Arkansas.

Dr. Pinkston has earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Ouachita Baptist University, a Master of Science in Psychology and Counseling from Troy State University and a Ph.D. in Biblical Counseling from International Theological Seminary.

In addition to counseling, Debbie is an educator and has taught Multicultural Counseling courses at a Cross-Cultural Training Center in Venezuela as well as Developmental Psychology at the University Arturo Michelena in Valencia, Venezuela.

During more than 25 years living and working in Venezuela, she has participated in starting a relitious camp, founded a counseling center and assisted in founding two orphanages.
With her background as a counselor and educator in Venezuela she brings a great benefit to counseling in Northwest Arkansas in that she is fluent in writing and speaking Spanish.  She has also been emersed in non-American culture for most of her life which brings sensitiviey and deep understanding to those who live in NW Arkansas from other cultures.
